After completing Discover Scuba Diving, you'll be on your way to achieving an internationally recognized dive certification. skill practise

Once you have reached your destination you will gear up, and progress to the confined water. You’ll practise blowing some bubbles on the surface, and once you’re ready, kneel down - the water here is shallow enough for you to stand up. Once settled underwater, your instructor will demonstrate the following skills for you to practise.

  • Breathing underwater
  • Regulator clearing
  • Regulator recovery
  • Mask clearing
  • Equalization techniques

open water dive

Having successfully completed the skills, it’s time to head out on a tour of the dive site, under close supervision of your PADI instructor. Diving to a maximum depth of 12m, explore the site, and be amazed by the underwater world! You’ll be able to see plenty of colourful fish including Nemo, pufferfish, crocodile fish, and huge green turtles!

After your first dive you can take a rest whilst enjoying a snack, looking through the fish books with your instructor, and learning the names of all the incredible marine creatures you’ve just encountered! Then it is time for dive number two - this time, you do not need to repeat the skills, you can just head straight out to the dive site and enjoy the underwater world once again!

Once you’ve surfaced from dive number two, it’s time to head back to our resort for lunch. After lunch you may choose to spend the rest of the day relaxing with a good book, however if you're not ready for the adventure to be over, you can head out for a third and final dive.

If you enjoyed your try diving experience, you may already find yourself planning for the next step - the full Open Water Course - which will train you to dive with a buddy independent of a dive professional. If you have the time, you can talk to your instructor about how to sign up for the course with us!
